My FIRST Time (❁´◡`❁)

2026-06-29

Okay so, here it goes. I expressed my wish to find some employment in the family, friend groups, everywhere I could (yk not to miss any chances for a referral.) And within ~2 weeks, I started talking to HRs. Many of them impressed by my profile while some wondering what have I been doing, and confused about which field I wanted to step into next and more importantly, why? This kept happening for a few days, new hopes and new hope crushes 😂. Until, that one day when an HR called me, said your resume has been referred to us, we work in XYZ Stack (which i wasnt familiar with) and that roles are open. I promised them the best I could, "Ma'am, if I am allowed some time , say a week to 10 days, I can come up with a project and then we may talk". She replied positively and that she'll send a confirmation by the evening of that day. It was now 6:30 PM, I am trying to concentrate on my badminton match.. but I cannot obviously, I am kinda freaked out but then time passed, No ping! And it was time I accepted the market was really tough, and kinda left hope. I thought I'd focus more on studies rather. Then after a week or so, the HR contacted me again,saying you're shortlisted but for a QA role (something I had never heard before) and asked me when was I available for the interview? , I ran calculations in my head, "hmmm, a new subject altogether? ig i'll do something in ~10 days" and I replied them, Next MONDAY. But then she misinterpreted it and said okay I have scheduled it for the upcoming MONDAY and that rest details will be sent via email to you. And helpless me, replied positive.🤐 Then I had 3-4 days in hand, I had to prepare for 4 rounds,

1.Aptitude -> 2.Technical -> 3.Technical with Tech Lead -> 4.HR

It was my first time, I had no idea about them. I started with Aptitude (solved TCS' PYQs) - but turned out questions were harder than those in the actual interview. Then came the ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM, Techinicals, I started exploring resources and that's how DAY 1 ended. DAY 2 : Started rapid theory MUG-UP phase, terms like "ad-hoc", "regression", different models, life cycles DAY 3 : just an extension of DAY 2, DAY 4: Booom!! college assignments deadline🤦‍♂️. So just completed them somehow, brushed up SQL skills and used chatbots for the interview simulationn .

Now the DAY, Got a call from the HR for confirming, If I'd be there, I told them to expect me on time. Decent confidence I had, went to the office, the building was kinda, not well mapped I'd say, took some time to figure out. And I saw all sorts of "corporate" people there, (i don't like that "pretending" thing tbh, just too cheezy and too fake), ladies with umbrellas, interns, men overpromising on phone calls.. typical what we hear. But ignore all this czzz, yo boy's here for the interview! Lets cut through it fassst. Reached the office, met HR, Aptitude round starts - 30 minutes anddd... my phone rings 😂 okay fine, ignore it, start solving! 30 minutes over, I am already done, HR takes my sheet for evaluation. A few minutes later, TECHNICAL round starts, started with all the textbook questions, then a few scenario based, some related to my background and a few off-topic stuff. I believe I aced it, atleast the interviewer seem impressed and then, they noticed me being a college student (TOO LATE THOUGH!). After all those efforts, and almost everyone being impressed, I had to come back cz I am an UNDERGRAD.

So People, Beware, UNDERGRADS NOT ALLOWED

fun experience tho, okay bye enough writing for now.
